I was all alone when the Rangers won the World Series, sitting in a living room in Kentucky. We had gone for a planned trip to see my daughter Her husband and the grandkids. My daughter and her husband had gone to on a business trip in Cincinnati and were in a motel room. It got too late for my wife so she went to bed and of course all the grandkids were fast asleep.

The pain of 2011 Was finally lifted off my soul And all I could do was cry -- Great tears of joy And tears of relief To excise the demons from 2011. I don't care if they were somewhat of an average team that had gotten hot at just the right time. Dammit, I deserve this. We all deserved this. After 2011. Every one of us Deserved this. I'm 61 Effin years old and I deserve this, damn it.

I finally composed. myself and walked upstairs and to tell my wife. Who is still scrolling on her phone. That, by God, and dammit, they had done it. Finally.

And then I drove to the store and got two 24 ounce beers and celebrated by myself. This wonderful and glorious Occasion. One of the best moments of my 61 year old life. You know, it probably shouldn't be, because I've got a lot more important things happened since in that in those 61 years. Like getting married and having kids and grandkids and getting out of law school, Passing the bar exam and starting my own practice and being successful with that. 41 years of marriage to a wonderful woman, and all this other crap. But damn, it was sweet. Really Effin SWEET.

Hate to see the Sborz release (I know he prob requested it)….he was so dominant in that clincher and a Ranger hero forever!

STILL mad I was in stinking Orlando for work when it* happened. Nobody to hug or cry with. Wore my Beltre jersey the next morning (I packed for the W), and 2 of the 400 ppl there knew what I was doing. Sad.

(*not that I’d ever give it back)

Waited FOREVER for this moment in time. Thought we might have another chance the next few years but the characters in that clip were at the top of their game and sadly regressed badly the next few years. Evo is still pounding away and Cory is still here but presently not the player he was then . Hopefully we can draft some MIRACLES and return one day.

I have played the game, been a student of the game all my life but at the moment of Josh Sborz’s WS clinching pitch I didn’t sense the greater impact of what the Ranger’s had accomplished. The big picture hit me later; the difficulty of winning series after series and being the underdog all along the way…….How nice to relive this moment while it being set in perspective this time…..can’t watch it too often!!

I'd like to say that I broke out the Pappy Van Winkle after the game, but it was just a normal bottle of Maker's Mark. And the MLB Ticket started re-playing the game two hours after it was over. I watched it two more times before the sun came up, and I got out my old baseball glove so that I could slam it with Sborz each time he closed it out again.

Was I laugh/crying all over again? Yes I was. Did I jump out of my office chair when Semien went deep? Yep! I hadn’t watched it since that night. Let’s go back CY, ok? Pretty please…

It brought tears to my eyes as well. I did see that as I was watching from my living room that evening and oh how we celebrated. Every moment! And I plan to live another such moment. We can do this and I can't wait to hear your ideas. Thank you for sharing this video with us. Maybe they need to play this before each series as a reminder, "You Can Do This Again!"
