Boomhauer just told me (I think) that Rod Barajas has agreed to terms with Philadelphia on a one-year deal with an option for a second year, pending a physical. He'll battle rookie Carlos Ruiz for playing time behind the plate.

Terms were not disclosed. Still don't know what the Sam Hill he was thinking when he backed out of his deal with Toronto, but at least he was smart enough to sign with a team up East. Culture, and all that.
