Yes, Seattle owns the tiebreaker over the Rangers, so they’re effectively a game behind the Mariners — but they’ve won the season series against the Red Sox, who they now trail in the Wild Card race by half a game. And they’re just a game and a half behind the Yankees, who hold down the top Wild Card spot.
Guess they’ll need to just keep winning.
