Game 106: Three Up, Three Down.

Atlanta is an absolute mess. Texas swept it up.

The team with baseball’s best ERA — by a ton — and the second-best run differential in the American League is perhaps an hour or two from being tied in the standings with the Mariners (who are trailing the Angels, 4-1, in the seventh) for the third and final Wild Card spot.

Yes, Seattle owns the tiebreaker over the Rangers, so they’re effectively a game behind the Mariners — but they’ve won the season series against the Red Sox, who they now trail in the Wild Card race by half a game. And they’re just a game and a half behind the Yankees, who hold down the top Wild Card spot.

Guess they’ll need to just keep winning.

And adding something impactful to the roster this week.

Three Up, Three Down from Texas 8, Atlanta 1.
