Game 117: Three Up, Three Down.
Gerson Garabito getting five outs means one of two things.
(Couldn’t resist borrowing the subtitle from last Sunday.)
Questions are surely being asked of Aaron Boone, as I start to type this, as to why he lifted Gerrit Cole after 90 pitches, with one out in the sixth, when his ace had averaged more than 96 pitches in his last six starts.
What followed was single, single, single, walk, sac fly, home run, and another pitching change.
But I’m not going to write a “You’re New York” story right now.
Three Up, Three Down from Texas 9, New York (AL) 4.
