Game 146: Three Up, Three Down.
A tale of two fifths . . . and two-fifths.
This is one both teams will look to the fifth inning as when this game felt in hand — and when it got away.
Two-fifths is also, realistically, all the Rangers can afford to lose over these final 16 games, assuming 86 wins is the threshold to even have a chance at playing 162+.
Considering they’ve only lost about 30 percent over their last 17 games — with this active roster — dropping 40 percent the rest of the way certainly no longer feels elusive.
Forget just winning series, which Texas has now accomplished five times out of six. Now it’s much more granular:
Keep winning games.
Three Up, Three Down from Texas 5, Milwaukee 4.
