Between the Rangers’ previous-best era — the seven-year run between 2010 and 2016 of 162+ in all but one season — and the parade seven years after that was a lean period. They played .428 baseball between 2017 and 2022, a six-year run that extrapolated to an average of 69 wins a season. All of that in-season frustration led to lot of draft power.
