Metcalf to KC

According to several local reports, Kansas City has claimed Travis Metcalf from the Rangers off waivers, preventing Texas from outrighting the third baseman to AAA. In reaction, the Rangers have brought utility player Esteban German back on a minor league contract. He'll presumably join Oklahoma City and could see considerable time at third base.
