Robby Ahlstrom was locked in. He’d just reached Double-A and proceeded to post the best numbers of his pro career. And for an encore, he’d allowed just one run though 14 innings of work in the Puerto Rican Winter League. He was healthy and he was dealing.

Then the Rangers delivered a message that Ahlstrom didn’t expect. But he’d been blindsided once before in pro ball, and managed to take it in stride.  This, on that scale, was nothing.
