Apologies for the absence of Hops last Sunday. I was out of town for the weekend — plus, there wasn’t much new to report on.
Not the case this time, however. We’ve got two weeks of developments, including a potentially meaningful shakeup on the coaching staff, on this, the one-year anniversary of a very big moment in Texas Rangers (and Jamey Newberg) history:
I’ve had two separate bouts of the respiratory crud this month, knocking me down with an annoying cough that’s made some days no fun and others no fun to be around. I mention this not to ask for your pity or forgiveness — but to express how exceedingly grateful I am that I was pristinely healthy last October, which allowed for four weeks of the best experiences of my sports life, both in Arlington and out of town.
Would hate to imagine if I’d had to navigate this limiting health muck at the time.
