Sunday hops, 4-27-25.
A weekly compendium emptying the bench, with Rangers developments, rumors, and takes — and yes, a little TROT COFFEY.
There have been more exciting first months in Rangers history, and more excruciating ones, both in relatively recent years. But I’m not sure there have been many that have been more fascinating.
What a bizarre start: Texas remains in a tie for first place in the division, a perch it has owned or shared after 23 of its first 27 games, and is on pace for 90 wins. This, despite a negative-14 run differential and the fewest runs scored in the major leagues.
Insane.
On to this week’s Hops.
