Synchronicity II.
The really cool thing about today is that MLB, for the second straight year, is starting all 15 Game 162’s at roughly the same time (2:00 Central and change).
The cooler thing is that this afternoon’s outcome doesn’t matter for Texas.
Not in the same way that it doesn’t matter for the Astros or for the Angels or for the Mariners.
The other way.
Eighteen teams will play their final 2016 baseball before the sun goes down. Maybe 19 or 20.
Not Texas.
Seven and a half months of grind, between the lines and in the dugout and upstairs as well, have led to this, which, by at least one measure, is an earned position the Rangers have never before claimed in their 45 seasons.
With all sights trained on one other thing Texas hasn’t yet claimed in 45 years.
Thursday: 11 Things.
